French trumpet/flugelhorn player, composer and producer, Antoine Berjeaut is a stalmart of the European jazz and electronic scene. A key member of sought-after big band Surnatural Orchestra and spiritual soul/jazz collective Tribe From The Ashes, Berjeaut had released a handful of albums as a leader including Wasteland with US indie rap/spoken word royalty Mike Ladd and library-music inspired project Primitive London (with saxophonist Robin Fincker). He writes scores for films and TV – lately for multi-award winning documentary On The Line, broadcast on national TV France 2. Following the critically acclaimed album Moving Cities, recorded and produced with US drummer/producer Makaya McCraven, receiving praises and support from Bandcamp, Stereogum, NTS, France Musique, BBC 3, Worldwide FM and DJ’s Lefto and Benji B to name a few, his transatlantic project – which also featured Art Ensemble of Chicago alumni Junius Paul on bass, and French jazz master Julien Lourau on saxophone, strengthened Antoine Berjeaut’s status in the European jazz scene, he just released Chromesthesia LP. Crafted together with some of the most innovative musicians of the French circuit, this exciting new album is out June 17 through French-Japanese record label MENACE.
